One Goal at a Time is the first ever documentary style video on U.S. Women's Ice Hockey and the U.S. Women's National and Olympic team members. This film was produced in 2002 by Earth on Fire Productions, a company owned and operated by two former collegiate women ice hockey players. Owners, Bree Cheatham and Courtney King both played four years of Division I college hockey at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts between 1993 and 1997. In 1997 they ended their college careers with an ECAC championship title.

Both girls played hockey since they were very young and participated in both development camps and in USA Hockey tryouts for the U.S. Women's National and Olympic Teams since the program began in 1990.

After years of playing the game and watching their peers struggle for a sport, Bree and Courtney felt it was time to tell the real story of women's ice hockey...no fluff...no bull...just the real stories and the true grit...by real hockey players for real hockey players.

In the beginning they were discouraged to play a sport that they loved. In 1998 they achieved their dream and notched a gold medal in the sports' Olympic debut in Nagano, Japan. Inspired by the game, determined by the Canadian rivalry and propelled by their strength, these world class athletes have taken the sport where it has never been before…the hits are harder…the games are faster…the focus is training…100% dedication.

An inspirational story told by the athletes, this film contains interviews with captain of the 1998 and 2002 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Teams, Cammi Granato, assistant captain Karyn Bye, coach Ben Smith and other members of the U.S. Olympic and National Teams. Special appearances from hockey legend Bobby Orr and captain of the 1998 and 2002 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Teams, Chris Chelios.
